EXPERTY/CONSULTANT REQUIRED
Soni Jawari Centre for Public Policy (SJCPP), the policy and partnership unit of the Chief Minister, Gilgit-Baltistan, is seeking the services of the following short-term expert for undertaking a feasibility study on Nature Based Solutions (NBS) in Gilgit-Baltistan. The study is part of a long-term climate change mitigation, adaptation and green development project. The scope of the study is to identify the potential for NBS in Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land uses (AFOLUs), to be implemented in GB. The expert is expected to be part of a larger team comprising of SJCPP staff and technical personnel selected from the relevant government departments.
Climate Chang/NBS Expert
(a) A Post-Graduate degree from a recognized institution in Environmental Studies/ Social Sciences or relevant subject.
(b) At least 10 years of relevant experience in climate change adaptation policy and actions (c) Experience of working at a strategic level, with government and donor agencies
(d) Specific experience of working within the climate change and environment sector in GB. (e) Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences
